Travel Diaries: Aruba
“Once we give up being attached to physical possessions we find the time and freedom to follow bigger dreams.”

I just got back from one of the most amazing islands I’ve ever visited… Aruba. Aruba is breathtakingly beautiful! The sand is soft and a beautiful shade of yellow, the water is crystal clear, and the palm trees are just like in the movies.

The Marriott Resort in Aruba flew me in for several days for Aruba Fashion Week and I brought one of my good friends with me. Aruba Fashion week is nothing like New York and Paris fashion week. It’s more like Miami Fashion Week but more relaxed and easy going. AFW was three days long and each day was hosted at a different luxury hotel on the island. The first night was at our resort so we made sure to get front row seats and enjoy the beautiful beach attire!

We stopped by some of the shows on the other two days but we mostly took this trip as an opportunity to relax and take in everything the island had to offer. Aruba has some of the best beaches in the world so we firsthand had to experience what all the buzz is about. A pina colada in one hand and tanning oil in the other… each beach day was nothing less than pure bliss.

I’ve compiled some tips for you guys down below as well as links to almost everything I wore! Also, stay tuned for a vlog to follow soon on my YouTube channel.
