New Beauty Favorites for that Summer Glow

One of my favorite things about summer beauty and skincare is that you use less of it (unless it's sunscreen of course). Everything during the summer feels more "natural" and "simple". That includes my diet, my work schedule, my skincare, and even my makeup routine. My go-to makeup look in the summer is minimal, glowy, and dewy! A lot of that "glow" can be achieved from the natural sweat that you produce just by being outside in 90 degree weather... but there's also a few beauty and skincare products I've recently fallen in love with that help keep the oil at bay and give me that healthy summer glow.

Some of my favorite "glowy" sunscreens:

Beauty products:

  • YSL Touche Eclat Primer: lightweight, luxurious, and gives an amazing glow!

  • Glossier Balance Priming Moisturizer: controls shine and oil, while hydrating and priming your skin for your makeup.

  • Tom Ford Shimmery Body Oil: this smells like a tropical vacation and gives you the most incredible shine! Perfect when you're wearing a dress for date night, or even just spending time at the beach.

  • Chanel lip balm: one of my classic go to lip balms. It's amazing. I have nothing bad to say about it!

  • Dr. Barbara Sturm Hyaluronic Serum: a pricier product but this serum works sooo well. I use it day and night and it just keep my skin super hydrated, healthy, and refreshed. A good skincare regime during the summer is just as important as a good makeup routine.

  • Beauty Blender: this one is a classic, and it just applies makeup on so seamlessly and naturally.

  • Marc Jacobs Beauty Coconut Face Primer: anything that smells like coconut I have to have. It always reminds me of a tropical vacation and every time I put this highlight on it makes me really happy. It's lightweight, hydrating, and a little goes a long way.

  • Marc Jacobs Beauty Concealer: I find myself to rarely wear foundation when it's hot outside, so instead I opt for concealer and use that to conceal any problem areas or underneath my eyes and call it a day. I find this to let my skin breath more when it's hot and humid out without worrying that all of my makeup is sliding off.
